Complimentary Services

We supply you (free of charge) maps, street directories, baby seats and directions to main tourist areas. Please advise us when using our online booking form if baby seats are required. All rentals commence and finish at our office. Airport drop-off and pick-up is available upon request (additional charges may apply). We offer you a free complimentary taxi pick-up if you are flying into Brisbane Airport. Simply Grab-a-Cab at the Brisbane Airport and we will reimburse you the fare when you arrive at our Bayside Office. (Max rebate = $20.00 for a minimum rental of 5 days).

Drivers

You must be over 24 and under 75 and hold a full open license. State, Overseas and International licenses are acceptable. There is no charge for additional drivers.

Insurance

Our sedan rates include comprehensive insurance with a standard excess of AUD$2,500 (which varies according to age). Reduced excess of AUD$500 is available, subject to age restrictions, for a daily fee of AUD$15. Truck excess is set at $2500 and can be reduced by paying a further $22per day. Damaged tyres or missing items i.e. hubcaps, radio cassette, etc. are not covered by insurance or damage waiver. All our vehicles are covered by 24 hour RACQ roadside assistance.

Charges

Rental duration is quoted for a 24-hour rental period. Additional hours are charged at AUD$11 per hour. Additional kilometres are charged at 22 cents, trucks 28 cents per km.

Bond

A bond of AUD $250 is required for all hires. You will be asked to sign a separate security bond in the form of a Credit Card imprint. This bond is held by BETTA Car Hire and will be returned in full subject to the vehicle being returned on time and in the condition that it was hired.

Early Returns

Returning a hired vehicle early may incur a penalty of one day's hire. The daily rate on any discounted or special hires may be recalculated at standard hire rates. Any refunds given will be at the discretion of Management.

Limitation of use

The rental area for our vehicles is limited to the south-east Queensland tourist areas. These include the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Brisbane and Toowoomba areas or any other area within 200km of the Brisbane City centre. With prior approval, executive vehicles, tourist vehicles, and people-movers only may be used outside the 200km area. Vehicles are restricted to sealed roads only. Vehicles must not be submerged in water or come in contact with salt water. Driving at night in country areas is strongly discouraged to avoid animal damage.

Fuel

All vehicles are supplied with a full tank of fuel. The vehicles must either be returned with a full tank of fuel or the renter will be charged the cost of refilling the tank. All other fuel costs are the renters responsibility.

One-Way Rentals

We do not have any one way rentals – all rentals are on a Brisbane to Brisbane basis.

Miscellaneous

All hirers are subject to the terms and conditions on the rental agreement. All rates are quoted in Australian dollars. This web site contains general information.
